This State park is in Alachua County near Fort White and High Springs. Its most significant feature is the Santa Fe River which “sinks” underground in the park and “rises” to the surface after several miles underground.
There are two separate campgrounds at this park. The campsites are well shaded, but close together.
When water levels are low, which seems to be most of the time, the River is closed to swimming and canoeing. Fishing is allowed. There are excellent hiking trails and a suspension bridge over the River.
Nearby attractions include the Santa Fe, Ichetucknee and Suwannee Rivers.
Although we have visited this park often, we have not camped here.
